The TAILORED TWITCH STRIPED SET explores the distortion of classic tailoring through a deformed lens. Constructed from fine vertical-striped cotton, the oversized silhouette evokes a sense of controlled collapse—structure softened by gesture. The jacket features a deep-set shoulder line, exaggerated sleeves, and a dropped hem, contrasted by a sharp lapel and a graphic-printed back patch that interrupts the garment’s order with a raw visual rupture. Trousers follow suit with an ultra-high waist, wide leg, and unstructured drape, creating an ensemble that feels both ceremonial and disobedient. Finished with a removable enamel pin bearing the Balleth insignia.
Crafted in limited runs at our Guadalajara-based workshop, each set is cut and sewn with precision using high-grade striped cotton sourced from archival deadstock. The back patch artwork was silk-screened by hand in collaboration with local printmakers, ensuring each unit contains slight graphic variations that act as unique identifiers. Button closures are reinforced with cross-stitch embroidery, and the pants are finished with an interior binding tape for longevity. The entire set is washed post-construction to encourage subtle warping at the seams a tactile nod to the garment’s conceptual premise of tailored disruption.
