The SCUM PEAR BAG stands as an alien relic: half fruit, half lighting device. Glowing softly with erratic pulses of light. Its body, rendered in deep violet leather, is punctured by embedded micro-LEDs that flicker and shift, transforming the object into an ornament or soft beacon. The structure is crowned with a raw steel cone and suspended from a thick industrial steel cable (typically used in construction rigging) reframing the handbag as a tool of suspension, resistance, and weight. At once cute and ominous, the SCUM PEAR BAG proposes a new category: ornamental weaponry.
Handcrafted in Guadalajara through a hybrid process of marroquinería and electronic prototyping, the SCUM PEAR BAG. The surface is drilled and punctured to house independent LED nodes, each soldered manually, concealed within the cone-shaped closure. The handle is made from galvanized steel cable, tension-locked with forged clamps, repurposed directly from building-site material supply.
Due to the complexity of this piece, production is limited to pre-ordered only bags.
